CENTRAL CALIFORNIA SOCCER REFEREE ASSOCIATION

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

April 11, 2008

 

Call to Order:  AGM was called to order by President Steve Dommer at 7:45 pm.

 

Roll Call:  Officers present:  Steve Dommer, Matt Schmitz, Jim Sandison, Dave Richard, Kurt Olson

 

Introduction of Guests:  None

 

Instructional Period:  Videotape of pre-game instruction from professional match in San Francisco with four national referees, featuring Tim Weyland.  Discussion followed led by Matt Schmitz.

 

Ryan Boyko (Advantage of Home Field):  Studies suggest that at professional level, fan noise may affect referee decisions in favor of the home team.  Complete power point presentation can be found on CCSRA webpage.

 

Reports:

 

President’s Report (Steve Dommer):  Thanked all officers particularly Matt Schmitz for assistance in instructional period. 

 

Awards (Kurt Olson):  Hall of Fame awards to Bart Jones and Diane Brown

 

CCSL Awards (Colin Arblaster): 

 

Referee of the Year – Matt Schmitz

 

Assistant Referee of the Year – Dave Richard
