MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES For July 14, 2009
Executive Reports:
The Treasurer reported a total of 79 dues-paid members.
General Membership Meeting: The meeting was called to order at approximately 7:10 p.m. with 35 members attending. Nathan Lacy provided instruction regarding Match Control, which included several elements deserving referee team attention: Game Critical
Events, Remedies for Control Problems, Sensing when Things are Bad, and
Insidious Issues. Nathan’s advice
included the mnemonic: “Adapt, don’t adopt.” Thanks to Nathan for a valuable and helpful instructional
session.
General Discussion regarding USSF/CYSA and US Club Soccer
affiliation for Sacramento-area clubs:
CCSRA is an organization open to all referees, and the general
membership is encouraged to support each other in achieving referee
excellence. CCSRA does not have a
position regarding the current issues affecting club affiliation at this time.
For the Good of the Game: Dave Simmons and Diane Brown will be inducted into the CSAN Hall Of Fame at a dinner on August 22, 2009. Details may be found elsewhere on the CCSRA website. Also, Sukimar Pattniak, announced that he and his wife will be moving to Arizona shortly due to employment. He announced that CCSRA and the referee community has been a special part of his life and hopes to return possible.
