For 24 years, David Jones has led CNRA as the State Referee Administrator. He has advanced the program well beyondany other state association in the country. With David's guidance and support, we've seen referees make the FIFA list, officiate at the World Cup and the Olympics, and represent Cal-North in MLS every year. David has grown the number of referees to over 13,000, more than twice any other association. David has ALWAYS supported the youth referee program by providing funding for referees to attend Youth Regionals as well as providing scholarship funds to the Youth Referees of the Year. David is also responsible for 2 successful DVDs from Bob Evans.

David has decided to retire as SRA and pass on the reigns to Duncan Way. Duncan will assume the SRA role effective immediately. David's tireless efforts for CNRA will always be remembered and we all wish him the best.

Frank Dumas, as many of us older referees know, helped touch many of our lives as far as the game is concerned. He helped teach and mold us into the referees that we became.

Frank Dumas passed away on January 5, 2012. He left behind some great legacies, some of which are his family which include 38 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren. And the soccer community has lost a great mind and a great set of eyes for helping to develope new referees.

The family is struggling to finance the cost of the cremation and services. And Frank's body is currently sitting in the mortuary as they attempt to bring the finances together.

If there are any referees who knew Frank, were touched by some of Frank's great insights from an assessment, or if you as a fellow referee would just like to help out the family, then it would be greatly appreciated. By word of our CYSRA, Tom Starr, it is with heartfelt sadness that CCSRA bring you news of the passing of Frank Dumas on Thursday morning in Citrus Heights, CA.. He has touched the soccer lives of many individuals in California North and will be missed by all that knew him. Please include Frank and his family in your prayers.

CCSRA is not wanting to be in the assigning business, however we feel that the Association had a unique opportunity to bring assignors together under one umbrella where the Assignors and the CCSRA can collaborate efforts in making Assigning and Referee Development easier and more effective within District 6.

By referees signing on to CCSRA's gameofficials.net Referees obtain easy access to the Assignors of Tournaments and Leagues working with CCSRA and using gameofficials.
CCSRA can now better reach our members and the rest of the referee community regarding upcoming Clinics, Meetings, Events and distribute Important Referee Information.

CCSRA is currently working with the assignors of California Cup (Bill Hall) and the assignors of Placer United Tournaments (Chuck Pirone and Chris Elliott)

In the coming months we will be continuing our attempts to meet with other area Assignors to offer the Assigning Program for their Tournaments and/or Leagues.

We are sure this will make assigning in D6 easy and effective for ALL involved; assignors, referees, leagues and clubs alike.

We will continue to present demonstrations of gameofficals.net features at upcoming meetings so that you are able to utilize all of its extra features.
